Cement grinding aids are metered process additives evaluated to reduce particle agglomeration and support grinding efficiency, cement flow or defined quality objectives. Product suitability, chloride content, dosage and performance must be confirmed for the selected grade and cement system.
A grinding aid coats clinker particles during grinding to prevent re-agglomeration on mill internals, lowering the energy needed per ton of cement while increasing mill throughput and fineness control.
| Type | Typical Dosage | Best-Fit Mill | Best-Fit Cement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Liquid Grinding Aid | 0.03–0.06% | Ball Mill / VRM | OPC, PPC |
| Powder Grinding Aid | 0.02–0.05% | Ball Mill | OPC, Slag |
| TIPA-based | 0.02–0.04% | Ball Mill / VRM | PPC, Composite |
| TEA/DEIPA-based | 0.03–0.05% | VRM | Slag, PSC |

Typical dosage ranges from 0.02% to 0.08% by cement weight, depending on cement type, mill type and target output gain. A lab trial confirms the optimal rate for your clinker.
Chloride content is grade-specific and must be confirmed on the current TDS or COA. Do not infer one grade’s result from another product.
No. A grinding aid primarily boosts mill output and fineness during grinding, while a quality improver focuses on later strength and workability gains.
Setting response depends on product, dosage, clinker, sulfate balance and additions. Confirm it during controlled testing.
Packaging is confirmed for the selected product, current specification, quantity and destination.
MOQ and lead time are quoted after the product, quantity, packaging and destination are confirmed.
